MentalDerek on "Tips for a Beginner on how to learn to navigate and use themes"

Hello. I just switched from using wix.com to build my sites, and now I am using wordpress. I have watched a couple videos, but I cant seem to find anything that teaches how to edit themes in detail.

From browsing around I have sort of figured out how to go into the "Customize
area and mess with some of the stuff in there, changing titles and tag lines, adding in menus, etc. But I cant seem to figure out how to move things around, maybe add an extra section, for example, I tired playing with a parallax style site, and it had 3 sections on the home page, The welcome section, a slider section, and a 3 box section, So for example, what if I wanted to add another section? So as your scrolling down I can have 4 different sections of information basically.

I am not sure if editing these things and adding in sections or buttons and such is going to require me to learn coding, or if it is as simple as it was on wix, which was just dragging and dropping things onto the site visually and it did all the coding for you.

Anyway, I cant really ask anything specific because I wouldn't even know what to ask, so as for now, I would really love some help finding some tutorial videos on how to edit templates in detail, navigating WordPress in general, sort of a description of the different areas of the themes etc etc.

Is there any videos out there that can help teach me how to edit themes in full?

Also on how to add in scrollers, or contact forms, how to make boxes with a picture and description and have it be able to be clicked so it takes you to a sub page, and actually a definition of sub pages, The whole "blog" "post" "page" "menu" thing confuses me, On wix it was, you had a menu (home, about, contact etc) and each one was a page, and then you could do sub-pages for each page, sort of like a "read more" section. Im having a hard time figuring out how to make pages, is each "post" a page? Im probably not makes sense, all I know is I just want it to look like a regular website, I don't want posts or comments or like buttons, I dont want any of the "blog" stuff in it.

Any help would be really appreciated. However I would prefer video tuts over articles if possible.

Thanks!
